Description
This 2-wheel drive K5 Chevy Blazer has been owned by the same owner for the past 48 years and pride of ownership is evident. The car has been painted 2 times in its lifetime. The K5 features updated Pro Comp gauges, an updated stereo with an auxiliary port, power brakes – disc in front and drum in the rear – and a new battery tray. All wiring was recently redone to ensure proper operation of all electrical components.
Although there is no top, the truck was recently fitted with a new aftermarket heater core to assist with defrosting the windshield for early morning surfing outings.
Tires have plenty of tread but are reported to be nearly 20 years old. The current Chevy 350 V8 replaced the original motor about 25 years ago and was recently fitted with updated ignition and HEI distributor. It is mated to an automatic transmission that just received a professional service including a fluid flush.
Owner reports the truck is extremely reliable but has a small exhaust leak. Other blemish includes an area inside the engine bay where battery acid from the previous battery eroded sheet metal in the wheel well producing cosmetic, nonstructural damage. Pictures are shown in the gallery.
